'86, Ph.D. Florida State University, Post-doctoral work, Harvard University.  Was Corporate Technology Director at Perkin-Elmer Corp, Boston, MA, followed Managaer of Research and Development at Quidel Corporation, San Diego, CA. He is also honored as one of EIU's international alumni (Global Ambassadors) in the fall of 2009.

Ronald Woods '86; MD/Ph.D. University of Illinois; Formerly Chief of pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, WA; Presently Associate Professor with the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital’s Herma Heart Center in Milwaukee, WI.  Also Involved in a humanitarian project focused on developing a children's heart program at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
